Wyoming State Forestry Hazardous Fuels Mitigation Program informs, educates and is a resource for individuals, families and communities throughout the State of Wyoming to increase public awareness of the risks and dangers associated with wildland fires and provide a foundation for increased efforts to protect against them. We aim to manage and protect resources through the implementation of fuels management and the use of the Cohesive Strategy to develop fire adapted communities, maintain resilient landscapes, and improve response to wildland fires. As hazardous fuels management is a continuous process, Wyoming State Forestry works with a variety of assistance programs to further strengthen the protection and safety of communities by making grants available through the State of Wyoming and the U.S. Forest Service. For information on what grants are available please visit the Request for Proposals page or contact us by phone or email.
