Biomass & Utilization

The Wyoming Forest Biomass Conference was held in March of 2016 in Laramie, Wyoming as a recommendation from the Governor's Task Force on Forests. The overall goal of the Conference was to create an opportunity to gather meaningful information, data and resources that facilitate the creation or expansion of an economically sustainable forest biomass industry in Wyoming with the ability to provide positive impacts at the landscape level.

The effort culminated in a focused discussion with agencies, industry and stakeholders regarding the next steps in growing and expanding a long-term sustainable biomass program in Wyoming. The results were published in the Wyoming Forest Biomass Conference: Final Report & Proceedings.
