County Wildfire Protection Plans

Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP)

CWPPs are plans developed in collaboration and agreed on by state, tribal, local government, local fire departments, other stakeholders, and federal land management agencies managing land in the vicinity of the planning area. CWPPs identify and prioritize areas for hazardous fuels treatments and recommend the treatment types and methods, both on Federal and non-Federal lands that will protect at-risk communities and infrastructure, and recommends measures to reduce structure ignitability throughout the at-risk communities. These plans can also include topics such as wildfire response, hazard mitigation, community preparedness, and structure protection. CWPPs throughout the State of Wyoming can found below.
